Looking at a 2017 Chevy 2500HD LTZ Z71 Duramax and was wondering what problem these trucks have or had.
I have never owned a diesel and am a bit apprehensive. I have had gasoline powered trucks most of my life and do most of the work, just intimidated a little by diesels.

Replace glow plugs every 100K miles - part is ~$60 ea from dealer, cheaper at auto parts store. Injector harness connectors fail because the harness is too tight. Connector pigtail is $30. PITA to replace though. Radiator overflow container has bad sensor and reports low level periodically. New container is ~ $100 and easy to replace. Fuel lift pump can freeze up at temps below 15F. Need to run an anti-gel additive.
