I wanted to ditch the front plate bracket. I really wanted to know the end result first. I however wasn’t able to really find any before or after photos of this. Decided to add it here as it might help someone in the future.

Use a drill and drill through the four rivets after you’ve removed your plate. You’ll be left with a couple of holes but it’s nothing terrible in my opinion. You could always plug them up if you chose to do so as well. Might be able to replace that piece if it bothered you too much, but I’m not certain of that. 🤷

After a wash. Hardly noticeable.

It’s required here too in, California. However I am going to push my luck on this one. Worst case I get stopped and I’ll have to reinstall the bracket or an aftermarket bracket.

What I found most annoying was just how much dirt and debris was behind it once it was off. The paint behind it is just constantly being sanded down. Truck is at 20k miles, I’d hate to see it at 80k miles. Anyone that leaves it, I’d recommend really trying to get some water pressure behind it when cleaning.
