Just curious and nosy, but I was telling my wife how lucky I thought I was that I drove through one dealership, paused with a salesman for under 2 minutes, told them exactly what I wanted when there were none in the state, and they got it 4-6 weeks later. I told her about those of you who ordered in 22 and they never got built and you got bumped to 24. This lead to my question. Do you get a 24 now with the same options at the same price as you already signed for or is it a, “you can have your deposit back or give us a few more thousand,” type of deal. If it’s none of my business that’s ok too.

The dealers in my area including the one I went with told me my final price was the produced window sticker. Any promotions would only be what was available at deliver to me for that month, luckily $1000 truck month and 0% interest happened to hit when ours was delivered. Didn't matter what increases happened after the window sticker or how long transport took. Guessing this varies from dealer to dealer and prolly is completely up to each dealer.

Wow, you came out of that good. Option C - we will tell you what you owe us once it’s built- never crossed my mind

ouch...2024 denali hd ultimate - $100,418 msrp (including taxes).

dang it looks sharp though...
I’d love that grill and badge on my 23. Heck after their highest extended warranty, ceramic coat, undercoat, interior protection, tax, title, license, idiot fee (I’m sure that was added in multiple times) I was not out the door in less than 6 figures. My favorite truck ever I traded in with 20 years and a quarter million miles lol

They don't offer the SLT trim level with a double cab any more. I built out an SLT crew cab with the same specs as the 2023 double cab SLT I'm waiting on, and it was right at 81 grand!

That's the reason I went AT4. If I spec out an SLT with the standard options of the AT4 they are within a few hundred dollars. You can get a basic SLT (without buckets) quite a bit cheaper but there are quite a few options missing that I'd like to have. At that point I'd probably just order a loaded SLE and put aftermarket leather in. That's always been the issue with GMC IMO is they kind of push you towards the higher trim levels. At least Ford has the XL and XLT that can be loaded up pretty decently and are quite a bit cheaper than upper level trims.

This is what happened with my truck, they showed me invoice pricing at the time of the order but told me it could change depending on when the truck was produced.

Once the truck was built in Oct 2021 and invoiced to the dealer, that was my price even though the truck wasn't delivered until June 2022. The MSRP had increased $4k between ordering and delivery but my price remained the same because the invoice hadn't changed between August and Oct when the truck was built.

I can’t even wrap my brain around that still. I started looking for a newer truck 2 years ago and decided to wait until the price was reasonable………turns out they were low 2 years ago lol. I had a hard enough time making myself agree to a known price. I couldn’t do it without a guaranteed price.

It is going to be interesting to see over the coming 6 months whether GMC is going to be able to hold the line on their MSRP for these 2024 HD trucks, or whether they are going to have to start offering incentives to lower the net price.

From what I've read, so far the demand for HD trucks remains strong, but if that is true, we'll see how long that continues.

Cheers,
Bryan

I had a 2022 AT4 ordered in July of 2021 thru a fleet company the company I sell for uses. They get pretty huge incentives because of the volume. At that time I had $9K off MSRP. That was a no-brainer and I was pretty excited. However this about the time the supply side on new vehicles got real bad. Fleet company could never secure allocation for me. I finally gave up last summer and decided to wait for a 2024. The 2024 AT4 I just ordered is over $15K higher than that 2022 I had originally ordered with the high incentives. I had to go to a local dealership I've bought from before as the salesmen told me he had room for a one white HD build for this week. Only discount I got off MSRP was $1500. Kind of ridiculous but do you do? Kick rocks or just pay it and go on. I do think the market will soften some in time as maybe the guy that just wants a diesel pickup because he wants one may do a hard pass, but for the guys that have to have pickups for conducting business we're kind of stuck. I usually won't buy a used pickup unless I know the detailed history and if you find one of those might as well buy new from the used asking prices I've seen. Not that I need an AT4 (I wanted it) to do my business but I do need a pickup. What blows my mind is my dealer told me they have a lot of interest in the Denali Ultimate and would not be able to fill all the requests. We sit here and think $100K for a pickup is insane and yet there is a bigger market than we probably realize.

Seems like GMC is the hardest to get compared to Chevy, Ford, Ram. To be fair I could have gotten a Ram thru the fleet company and already had it, but I don't like them so it doesn't really matter. My "hope" is at least these prices stabilize for a few years without going up and up. There just aren't many HD pickups sitting around so it's simply a supply demand problem for now.

I don't think we are going to see any discounts off MSRP in the next 12 months on HD trucks. There just seems to be too much demand and not enough supply. That being said. 100K for a new Denali Ultimate HD is insane. We're really paying 100K for a pickup truck now? Thanks Sleepy Joe.

I’ve been seeing discounts on HD trucks at my local dealership for probably a year now.

My local dealer is discounting the 2023 HDs on the lot, but so far, trying to hold the line at MSRP for 2024 HD orders.

We'll see if that persists in the coming months.

Laura GMC in IL is discounting 23's 5-7k. 2.5K off on 24 orders.
