I just picked up a new 2024 Denali 3500 and sold my 2015 Denali 3500. The LML I had converted to the Donaldson DBL7483 years ago, thank you AlisoBob for the research. I admit I have not looked at the feasibility, and truck will not be with me for a few days to do this, but does any one know if this same conversion will work on the L5P? I liked the effectiveness of the DL7483 and I have several left since the change happened quickly.
Thanks

Wrong threads, too large a diameter.

New L5P's have a 22x1 5 metric thread, and a smaller diam filter head compared to previous trucks.

Your truck likely came with a PF63...a PF 26 also fits (was on the 20-22's) and is larger in size and in the amount of filter media.

When did they quit using the 2232 filters? I thought everything prior to 5P did?

That is what was on my 2015 LML but I put adopter on the threads and changed mine to accept the bigger, more effective and efficient Donaldson double filter on. I was just wondering if that could be done on the 2024 L5P but appears not.

New Duramax owner here. And that oil filter is freaking tinny compared to both my cummins. Its looks like a lawn mower filter lol
