I have a leveled 2004 LB7 and need new shocks. The 0-2" Bilstein front shocks are currently all on back order but the 4" Bilstein shocks are currently available.

Has anyone ever put 4" Bilsteins on a leveled Duramax? Do you think it could work? Looking at the compressed length of the shocks, there is just a 2.2 inch difference. Kind of curious how it would ride, any experts please weigh in.

Here are the stats:

0-2 INCHERS:
Series: 5100
Front Extended Length(in): 15.76
Front Collapsed Length(in): 11.3
Part Number: 24-186735

4 INCHERS:
Series: 5100
Front Extended Length(in): 21.46
Front Collapsed Length(in): 13.52
Part Number: 24-187183

If I were in your shoes, I'd call Bilstein directly. They are the true experts. I have actually spoken with them before I made my purchase and they are very helpful.
My gut tells me they're going to say no, don't do it.
