Installed manifolds, up pipes, and the 4094va last week and with my DSP5 (stock turbo) tunes the truck seems to be making a little less boost, and with the bigger tunes I’m getting a lot more smoke. In short, I'm getting what feels like less performance with the bigger turbo.
This all makes sense if it is true that I need to close the vanes down to get to the desired boost these tunes are trying to generate.
Does this check?
BTW, this turbo is crazy loud, a cross between the whistle of the old T-37 jet trainer and the growl of an A-10 depending on RPM and throttle position.
