I have a 01 that started fuel knocking real bad. Found that it was the #5 injector so I replaced it. However the problem was still there. I ran it with the wires off and it ran fine on 7 cylinders. I then found #5 to be getting constant power at all times the truck was on. I checked the wiring harness 20 times and did not find any rubbing or shorts to power. I feel that either the FCIM or the computer is telling it to stay on. Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

You mentioned that you took the wires off that injector. Are the valve covers off it now? If so I suggest swapping it with another cylinder and see of the problem stays with cylinder 5 or goes with the injector. That would show you for sure if the injector is causing the problem or the wires.

Notre-- cylinders are numbered- Passenger side-
- 1-3 5 7, and Left side, [Driver] 2-4-6-8.

Did you replace the correct one-??
