a Duramax owner after 15 years of Dodge/Cummins because of better ride, better steering, lower for easier entry. I'd like to know if there are any weak spots to pay attention to such as the weak lift pumps and poor steering in the Dodges. I'm not suggesting that these same weak links exist in the Duramax. I just want to know if there are any weak spots. Thanks.

I just switched from the '01 Dodge and haven't looked back. Now that GM got their interior quality sorted out I'll probably never go back. My truck's only got 1100 miles on it, so I can't say much for weak spots yet (hopefully never)! BTW, the steering is incredible (particularly coming from the Dodge "bowl-a-lane" steering system)!

Cant go wrong with a GM! I have always had good luck with them.
