Added the rubber seal of a 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 to my 2500hd. Here are some pictures.

Everything is there. Normal GM have on the 1500 but take it away on the 2500HD. A 1500 Denali has the led taillights but not the 2500HD.

TDavis1992 would you think GM would have thought of this before putting this on a 1500 which out sales 2500hd by a lot? Nice thing is we live in the USA and we have a choice.

So do your door seals rub through the paint on your doors? How about the rubber seals on the hood?

Also I installed these same type seals on my 2002 Silverado 2500hd back in 2003 and when I sold that over 10 years later, there was still paint on the cab and the bed. I used the seals from the Cadillac Escalade EXT. My 2002 had 175,000 miles on it.

TDavis1992 that rubber under the headlight rubbing like that is not good and the rubber between the bed is not designed like that. Go look at a new 1500 and you will see what I am talking about, it also barely touch's the cab and it is curved inward. I believe they are there to protect the rear cab vents.

My paint on my 2002 was supper thin. Not even before 500 miles the taller hood they used on them the paint was almost gone from road debris, I actual had to have mine hood repainted at about 6 months because of the missing paint, Then I install the 3m guard on it. Which I need to do on my Denali. This thin paint issues started back in the 90's when everything was changed over to water based paint.

Sorry if im missing something but what exactly is the point of this? looks? cut down on wind noise? ?

I believe GM did this on the 1500's to cut down on noise through the cabin vents. Why else would they spend money designing and installing it on there most popular trucks?

goobs you got any pics. I cannot see how you can get rusty holes from this install. It is held in place with plastic cgristmas tree type fastners

He is referring to the factory mudflaps not your rubber strips between the box and cab.
