Hi Guys. I had the same problem and yes that is the sensor to replace. I went to my local GM dealer and picked one up. Not cheap!! Close to $200 for the little sucker.
Pull your airbag fuse under the hood and disconnect the negative on your batteries before you proceed. The replacement of the sensor is straight forward. Let me know if you need more info.
