:thumbSo, I get on here frequently and always am envious of these personal threads that everybody makes. Build threads for the most part. Now I don't take that many pictures for a detailed build thread so that's why its not a specific build thread but more of a history and where am I now thread. Mainly for me to keep up with my truck, but will be adding modifications as I go and taking more pictures. ( I promise!)

Here's my LBZ as she sits now.

Haha! Oh yeah! Seat dyno is off the charts! :neener

But really thanks. I love how it still basically looks stock, and I'm glad it keeps the resonator. I personally like the look of it.

Here's a few videos. Still uploading the last one.

The first one I am testing out the timelapse feature on the camera.

Heres just a little 0-80mph test. Non boosted, just floored it and let her eat. :gearjamin

The last one is mounted right behind the exhaust.

The video quality is great, better then GoPro to me, but the audio quality is lacking unfortunately. I will get a mic one day and start making videos and syncing them. Hope yall enjoy these little previews. My favorite video is still uploading.

Heres my favorite video. Has a little powerslide, a burnout, some mud burnouts, and a 0-100 or so run. All on a closed course, ya know.

Ill upload the last one here when its done. I have spent a total of like 225 on the camera, Suction cups and sticky, floaty mount, tripod, head strap, chest, an sd card, battery charger and extra battery. A carrying case and all sorts of accessories. Its called a SJCAM SJ4000.

#258 ·
If you end up getting one, go to the official SJCAM website and buy it. Theres alot of fakes out there and they dont have near as good quality as the real one.

SJCAM Action Camera - New way, new world! - SJCAM.COM

I bought the one with WiFi. And it works just like the GoPro wifi version. You can start and stop videos. Change settings and do all sorts of things. But you cant review them without downloading the file. But it doubles as a screen. Oh and the camera has a LCD screen on the back too, to set up shots.

Theres other cool action cams out there too cheaper then the gopro but this one has great versatility. And uses gopro mounts. I have more test videos i can send to yall if ya pm me. Been trying out all sorts of things.

Thanks, he loves going for rides and doesn't mind the speed or slides or anything. Its funny, he'll look back at the exhaust when i get on it. I figure he's thinking "Hell Yeah!"

#263 ·
Yeah he loves switching. He'll do that and then still stand on the center console and get a front view. I tried to get him to ride in the front when he was a few months old but he liked the ability of going back and forth and laying down. He also learned when he was a puppy to stand on the door arm rest and stick his body out the window so thats why i gotta keep the windows up like that, and locked. Hes a blast though.

This is a good idea. We used to take our rat terrier with us when we'd go check our cattle, but leave him in the truck when we would feed them grain, a couple times the dog locked us out of the truck. We learn really quick, window locks and don't leave the keys in the ignition! :thumb haha

Looks good Andrew!!!

Thanks fellas! I cant wait to go back to the track and use the camera too!

On the way home from work today, a big black cummins got on the highway behind me. Had his wheels sticking way out of the fender wells, was lifted, had the exhaust straight piped and dumped right after the axle with a 7-8" tip, and had an afe diff cover I believe, also had the 3 guage pillar. He had a 1320Video sticker in his rear window too, it looked like he took real good care of the truck.

Anyways he came up behind me and I could see him blowing smoke to catch up so I slowed down a bit and he passed me in the passing lane, but as he was going by he got on it and took off. I initially thought I would get smoked if I tried to race him, so I paced him until he took off again, and as he did I got on it and was pulling on him.

So I got next to him after he slowed down and he honked 3 times and we both took off. I pulled about a half truck on him and then was slowly pulling away from him up to about 100 or so. He was probably only about 1/2 a truck behind my rear bumper. So we slowed down again and this time he down shifted ( manual) and took off but I did a half second later, and I pulled from his being my front bumper at his front door, to his front bumper at my rear door before we let off. The whole time his truck was smoking quite a bit, but not completely blacking out the highway. I was just hazing.

He pulled up next to me and said something about being fast, I couldn't hear him. Then he said he still had the stock turbo, but that was it. I don't know what else was done to the truck but Im assuming with how nice it looked and how he didn't short it on the tip, exhaust, and diff cover that his trans had modifications too being a manual and how he was throwing the gears.

I am loving this banks intake though. Before if I would go WOT and check my minder I would be pulling almost 50% restriction, and now I checked it after playing all weekend with the camera and racing up past 100 today and shows no restriction at all. The thing about the stock intake being good to 500-600 hp ( I forget which it is) may be for some trucks, but I can see the difference in the minder of what my truck was showing restriction before and after.

All in all I am so happy I won!!! I wish I woulda had the camera for that!

Oh, and almost forgot, The other day I was on the highway behind a firebird, and he had exhaust and corvette wheels, with street/drag looking tires. Anyways out of no where he floors it and takes off. Well I was in the truck with my wife, buddy, and buddies ol lady so I wanted to play a bit. I caught up to his bumper and went WOT and as I was pulling by him he floors it, and is on my bumper, but he never pulls anything on me. It seemed as if I was pulling away from him. Not sure anything about the car, but probably an LT1 id assume. He had a girl in the front seat next to him as well. They pulled off at the next exit pretty quickly too.

Nice! Love hearing stories like that, seems like only the ford guys are sore losers, this guy sounds like he was cool getting whipped on.

I swear, every time some nice truck pulls next to me and I'd like to mess around, I've got one of my trailers behind me.

#272 ·
Sounds like a lot of fun man! I like it when folks are cool about there stuff, even when it's slower than the D

Yeah, its the best when they aren't sore losers. I know i wont be when i lose, cause ill be proud of the ol girl for running however she does. Haha

I'm on my work computer and I always have issues seeing pics. This is the 1 set of pics I can see in this thread...lol. FML...
Hahaha, sorry man. Maybe youll start seeing pics now though!

So man, lets have the fuel economy testing stats
Your stock top end and trans right?

#274 ·
When i get home tonight I'll put up what i got. My testing had all of variables in it though and there is some flaws. But I'll post up the results tonight.

#275 ·
I need to finish that fuel economy application! I've gotten way to busy with work, I need to focus on my other side project rather than staring at a wall when I get home!

Fuel Additive Test Results, Take 1

So heres my results from over the winter, testing various fuel additives.

Disclaimer:
I tried to control every variable possible, but not every tank was exactly the same as the previous one. I did however get fuel from the same station, and the same pump. I also kept my truck on cruise at 68mph driving to and from work. Sometimes I did dog her a bit though on weekends, but anyways. This was a real world test, and how I drive the truck.

I am not real good with organizing data so heres my best try.

I didn't do a base test with no additive, so don't have that, but all of these were on winter fuel. I wasn't sure when they changed to summer fuel but have a guess so I will not include those results as they are inconclusive.

I believe they switched to summer fuel after this tank, I do have some results from the summer but those variables are harder to control. With warmer weather comes more driving fun for me.

* First very cold week. Alot of high idle warm up time.
** I took the snow gopro videos with this tank, had alot of high idle and alot of snow fun.
*** Pulled buddies around neighborhood in the snow for a while in 4wd.

So I know this looks like a mess, but I couldn't figure out how to set it up in a format that actually works on here.

Hey man. Looks pretty easy to read to me man. I think we got summer fuel around April. But that's the same time I turned my kanob up to the 100hp tune...

#278 ·
My mileage jumped 2mpg after that last tank, so i assume thats when it changed.
