So I do not have pictures hiding on my phone at this current point in time, but I'm going to see if I can get some sent my way.

The issue at hand is that I have paint PEELING on the front portion of my driver and passenger side front fenders. The lml is a 2012 with somewhere just under 45,000 miles.

The section is right where the fender meets the bumper. People should check this area to see if the issue is starting on their own trucks prior to turning over 36,000 miles and losing their bumper to bumper warranty.

I now am still in waiting after the pictures were sent a week ago to gm to see if I will be hung out to dry or if they'll be considerate.

There is a corrosion warranty that applies for 6 years/100,000 miles. To that so far I have now been told once that it pertains to an entire body panel/frame rusting through.

Oh lil gm rep where are you :stickpoke

Shouldn't that rubber piece be behind the fender and not in front/outside of it? If it is outside the fender resting against a painted surface its almost guaranted to rub the paint off. So is rubbed off or peeling off big difference?

Just for discussion, if the plant that truck was built is like Arlington, TX where the big SUV's are built. The truck is not painted by GM employees. Its done by DuPont.

I went through it too man... The service manager at the dealership told me I wrecked my truck and was trying to get them to fix it... Said the only way that strip was like that was from an impact.. Needless to say things didn't go well there and I pretty much burnt that bridge when I came unglued on him. In the end I had to pay another shop 850 to repaint my fenders

I don't have that rubber strip between the bumper and fender. It went away with the factory bumper years ago when the truck was new.

Well I just looked at mine and apparently my bumper isn't on straight from the factory or something similar. On the passenger side I can barely stick a piece of paper between fender and trim but on drivers side it's wider than my thumb

Mine was crooked as heck the day it arrived at the dealer, obviously they are put on quickly by hand. My dealer adjusted it as straight as they could, the bumpers are all crooked if you look across the lot. And yes, they are cheap in quality...not price.
