Howdy Amigos! I recently purchased my first Diesel pickup, a 2007 CCSB LBZ with 145k on the clock. I bought it used from a dealer, which I usually steer clear of, but I've never seen a cleaner LBZ so I had to jump at the opportunity.

I recently took a full time job as the Director of Safety for a Steel manufacturer in Kingman, AZ but the last 4 years I worked full time as a traveling Wind Turbine Technician.

My new job gave me a relocation bonus, and I sold my old vehicle about 3 years ago due to always having a company provided truck on the road, so I bought the LBZ with it 🤣

Welcome! Very nice truck! Before you start adding goodies and whatnot, look into some commonplace issues with these GMT-800 trucks and sort those out before they become an issue and then you can buy all the fun stuff with the confidence that you're not gonna have a transfer case blow up on the interstate from pump rub. These older trucks are incredible for every day use trucks that can handle some pretty heavy work but they do have some things that need attended before you get too far into it. Enjoy that truck, man!
I appreciate the feedback! I have an appointment next week with a local, reputable, diesel shop. They're going to inspect it for me and give me a list of all the modifications they can find, as well as recommendations for retrofits to increase the longevity of the truck. I don't intend to do any towing for the time being, but that may change when I buy a house early next year.
