hey guys, a friend of mine has tunes from ridge runner diesel and he likes them but has a few concerns. The smoke is pretty grey in color and especially in the smoke tune. Most smoke tunes ive seen and just regular tunes in general make pure black smoke. any concerns he has to be worried about? and should he switch tuners to get a healthier tune?

I've heard nothing but good things about Tony. I wouldn't be the least bit worried.

Can of gas and some matches will make plenty of smoke. Or you could do the ol trash bag over the air filter...

Seriously though, yeah its easy to tune for more smoke. But not many folks on here are going to promote it due to the bad rep it gives the diesel industry as a whole.

Does the truck always make gray smoke? I know bad injectors will cause white smoke mabey it could be injectors going bad

Could be a fuel pressure issue? Poor atomization yields grey smoke...? Got anyway to log it? Most likely not the tune but the truck.
