I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW how many of you have had your batteries replaced because of leakage of acid around the side post.I have had five batteries replaced, and now have two more leaking.tks HUGH
I had the same problems with my 96 Silverado, even was using Delco Battery.
No problem with the 05 yet . Had to change the battery bolts each time for corrosion & cleaned cable ends
Not sure what the exact issue was, but the factory, drivers side battery leaked for the original owner. Made a mess of the frame and batter tray. I just replaced the factory set with Interstates. We'll see how those hold up.
I do not know if someone is still asking this question since I read all posts before posting... but I just replaced my passenger side battery because it was leaking acid around the post and giving me trouble on cold starts. New battery and good to go. Got it warrantied too even though the battery tested good. Got friends in low and high places.
