Battery Drain

My cousin has an '04 LB7 and keeps having an issue with the batteries draining. He said that he has narrowed it down to something in the A/C circuit. He said that when he turns the key off the A/C blower still runs and drains the batteries if left to sit. If he pulls the A/C fuse while it is sitting it will not drain the batteries. I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has had this trouble and knew what the fix was before he has to take it to the dealership. Maybe a relay or something of that sort? Thanks!!!

Welcome to the forum! :drink

I know in the 02-03 chevy trucks there was a blower motor resistor that went bad. But it only usually would stop a few of the fan speeds from working. Hmm.. I never heard of your problem. Hope someone chimes in!

if im not mistaken the AC/Heat blower fan is operated by a relay. My guess would be bad relay or a ground keeping it active.

check to see if there is power to the relay when the ignition switch is off. could be a faulty ignition switch. Just a guess.
