I ran a 5" straight pipe on my truck for a while with the stock turbo and was fine with it. It did have some drone, but it was bearable to me (my fiance not so much). I then put a S300 kit on the truck and the drone was unbearable to me. I still wanted to be able to hear the exhaust, but wanted to eliminate the drone. I decided to run the 17" FTE resonator first that way if i decided to make it quieter i could more easily put the 30" on. The 17" satisfied all my needs. it knocked out prolly a good 80% of the drone i was having with the S300. On a stock turbo i am willing to bet it'll eliminate nearly all the drone. The exhaust note is muffled some, but not too much. If you want to eliminate the drone and still have a "louder' exhaust i would get the 17". The 30" IMO is for someone that wants it to sound close to stock as possible. I would not bother getting a muffler with the resonator. Just run the 17" by itself and you'll be fine.

 

My 2016 lml is pretty quiet with just a Flo Pro twister with 5” pipe.

 

Cool so it sounds like I should try the 17" resonator only first. I can always add a small muffler if needed.

My main thing is drone, so that is the number one priority to get rid of.

Just to update the thread. I put my exhaust on today. Went really smooth.

Definitely dont think I need the 30". It really isnt that loud at all. When you get on it, it definitely screams but normal driving isnt bad.

As expected there is a pretty bad drone around 1600 rpm. So I'll be ordering up a 17" resonator.
