I painted my grille black about a month ago...and as expected it's starting to chip. I don't really want to deal with it chipping all the time, so i was wondering if anybody knew where i could find an OEM style grille thats black? ive looked all over and all i can find are billet grilles....thanks in advance!

What did you do for prep work to your grill before painting? Usually they hold up well if you give em some prep before painting.

Well i originally planned on taking all the chrome off it....but that wasn't happening so i just roughed it up....put primer on it, then two coats of paint, and a clear coat, it held up good for a while but now its just trashed....idk maybe i didnt let it dry long enough:idkidk

Actually I just saw one on Ebay. Do a search for Silverado grille and Im sure it will pop up. It was for your truck as I have the same grille and was looking at it just the other day.

You might be able to find a non chrome work truck grille on ebay then get it painted black. Id call around to auto body shops and see what they would want to spray yours black.

I dont think they make a blacl grille though
