I'm getting ready to install a dual LED blade up under the tailgate I took it off and I noticed this large black part with three teeth that links up with two teeth built into the tailgate... I'm wondering if this is to prevent sliding right and left or if it's some kind of theft deterrent if it's the ladder I will remove but if not I'm scared to use this LED on my truck.
