I have changed the resistor with GM parts twice in the past year on my 2005 Gmc 2500hd with Automatic a/c controls. Is there something else that i should check to see what is causing this problem? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
John

Probably not the same problem, but upstream there are a few connectors in the harness to your blower and resistors. Check and make sure those are not melted together.

Usually there is a loose terminal in the connector for the resistor that burns, sometimes melts the connector too. But that is usually on the manual hvac controls from my knowledge, not the automatic controls. I've not run into it on the automatic controls myself
