We have a 2012 Silverado 3500 with at least 1 cracked piston. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to swap in a complete L5P? Or just swap in the short block? Is it even possible?

Haha!

The only reason I am considering it is because I found a complete brand new oem L5P engine for about $10k. I assume that most of the weaknesses of the LML have been fixed with the L5P too.

Call the Diesel Attitude shop in Mondovi, WI. They’ve done a swap, into an LBZ.
