I’ll be getting a new 2022 sierra 3500 cc sb. In the next couple weeks. (From what the dealer tells me). I’m curious what are some things that y’all think need attention immediately? Billsteins 5100? Sulastic shackles? Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

I did get Weather Tech HP floor liners and no drill mud guards for it when it shows up. Will also be getting rust sprayed (Krown) and some kind of paint protection film on the forward facing edges.

I have been reading on here. Seems like folks like the xpel film for front end. Weather techs are a must. Cant recall on the mud flaps. I've also came to not checking on status unless dealer reaches out to me. Thank you all and if anyone has anything more please let me know.

I have expel on the front, A-pillars, roof, door sills, door handle pockets and the rear bumper.
The Denali floor mats are awesome IMO, you won’t need floormats than.

I also had my truck undercoated at the dealer.

Ride quality is excellent while hauling and towing. If for some reason you are riding around empty, well, it rides like a one ton truck lol. If you got a one ton I imagine you’ll have a trailer or load on most of the time and the 5100s will help when towing heavy and I recommend them, but they will make the ride empty harsher. I have seen sulastic failures and don’t know if I would be using them myself. Just my personal thoughts.

I got the sulastic shackles, I could tell the difference in the ride, not so jarring from the rear. I got the GMC mats, got them for the same price less a 10% coupon the dealer gave me. Did not have any fifth wheel puck system, so I got the B&W turnover ball. With the Anderson ultimate hitch. Got the CTS3 also. This is a big one I started using the platinum blue def, at about 5000 miles started getting that def quality message, switched to the Walmart brand, been good to go since have 14,000miles. Hopefully your truck shows up soon, congrats.

Not sure if its needed. But for me definitely. Lots of folks on here have the CTS or the idash. I like to know what's going on for mainly the regen stuff. This is my first diesel vehicle, and have heard stories about not knowing or not completing a regen, possibly with a lot of short trips, then the truck just goes into limp. I feel much better knowing when it's going on and can complete it. Basically piece of mind

Start planning on better tires. The stock Goodyears are JUNK. I ditched them on my 2020 CCLB and got Toyo Open Country CT's. The dually I have now has Toyo AT3's and they are so much better than stock Michelin Primacy tires in snow and ice.

Lots of folks have had multiple balancing issues with the Goodyears (myself included) After watching 3 tires get warrantied out and still not getting a solid set of 4 round tires - I gave up and went with Toyo's.

I wont run another goodyear tire on any of my vehicles.

Them's my 2 cents. :) Hope you get the truck soon !
Cheers!

The iDash gets another upvote from me.

Performance wise, i wouldn't recommend doing anything for a bit. The way GM has been operating lately you dont want to do anything that can provide them a BS excuse to not honor any warranty work.

I highly recommend getting the truck ceramic coated and the protective film applied, whichever company you wish to go with. Also, see if you can find a local place that does undercoating. Being in the snow/salt, I recommend FluidFilm - their website will tell you if a supplier / installer is local.

I assume on the Denali youll have the spray in bedliner from the factory, but if not I would recommend that as well. Also, weathertechs are good but i have the Huskeys in my truck, same concept a smidge cheaper.

Get a storage box for under the rear seat. Helps keep gear organized much better and doesn't slide around so stays neat.

When unloaded run 55-60psi in your tires to keep things a little softer - just dont forget to air back up when loaded. The Bilstein 5100s are a very common upgrade but being brandy new I would say save the coin for now and do them in a year or two.

Pick up some Optilube fuel additive to run every fill up. Relatively cheap insurance against a costly fuel system issue down the line

Thank you all for your feedback. I have about 5k on my tires now. Was thinking about swapping them out with the factory ones before I sold it. comes with a bed liner. Seems like the consensus is ceramic coating/ protective film immediately along with monitor. Thanks!

As for the ceramic coating, It depends on what you do with the truck, and where you live.
I had mine done, and redone again because I was very disappointed in it for the cost.
I’m still on the fence about it, I guess if you live in a location that has amazingly nice weather all the time, than I spose it would be good, but research the care, and washing afterwards to protect the coating, and preventing waterspots. Water beading looks cool but it’s very harsh on the paint.

I’m my area I feel the money on the ceramic coating could of went into more expel coverage.

I just got my ‘22 3500HD Denali 3 weeks ago. I ordered it in June! I’ve got Fox 2.0’s, Cognito UCA’s, pitman idler arm support kit as well as Suspension Maxx’s leveling kit, differential drop kit & steering stabilizer on the way. I’ll post before & after pics when done.

I would say do some research on fluid film and gm coatings before you apply it.

I decided not to because of the mess the smell and the potential that it might, from what I've read, remove the factory wax coating which is pretty effective from the get go if the truck is washed regularly.

I felt the ride was a bit jouncy when towing at max tongue weight so I added airbags to help when needed. Also get a good RV navigation system as the gm nav will indiscriminately send you places you shouldn’t go when towing a substantial trailer.

Here's what I did with my 2021 3500HD Dually

Tinted windows
Bug deflector
Window drip guards
AMP power running boards
Fab Fours front bumper
Warn wench with wireless controler
Hammerhead rear bumper
Pace Edwards Electric Tonneau
Air-Rite air bags for rear springs
5th Wheel hitch
Square fog lights (front bumper did not include them)
Sequential turn indicators (mirror and fender)
Black fog taillights
Wireless charger in armrest console
Dash cam
BW hitch meant for the 6 way tailgate clearance
Black grill
In the process of replacing all chrome badges with black
Train horn

Replacing factory ECM next week, and getting tuned
New (black) wheels ordered, and summer tires

I don't know if that is everything, but it's a lot.

Banks is releasing a cold air intake for this diesel next quarter. I'm interested in that, the iDash, and a differential cooler, all from Banks.
