I am currently looking into purchasing a 05' 4x4 cc/sb, vehicle has 54,000 miles (all stock) and is immaculate. I am preparing for a cross-country move from NC to AK, due to transfer with the Coast Guard. From all my readings, I have noticed alot of talk about overheating, intakes, and more acronyms than I can remember. All I am looking for is some mods that will improve mpg's and keep the truck from overheating. I am towing a 16' enclosed trailer through the northern states, total mileage is around 5,000.:gearjamin. The trip is going to be a blast, can't wait. I just don't want to end up on the side of the road. If anyone has some experience with this I could surely use the help. Hell, you never know. I have drove from Montana to Alaska on the Alkan Hwy and found that a fuel cell is a good thing. Just a heads up. Fuel is not cheap in the Yukon.
