My 2018 Diesel 3500HD just went into the GMC shop.
Motor was jerking.
Whole fuel system loaded with Brass metal shavings from the fuel pump.
Another truck was in there for the same problem.
That truck has been waiting for parts for a month so far.
They showed me pictures of fuel filters it was all brass shavings they said from the fuel pump.
Warranty is covering the costs.

Your fuel filter also failed obviously, which is the bigger issue. They've known about the metal from the pump being an issue since the beginning.

My truck is still at the GMC shop 4 months now, waiting for new pump, they have all the other parts.
There said it it will be a new design fuel pump.
There is a Class Action lawsuit in USA but not in Canada.
