One of my abs wires was rubbing on my tire causing it to wear through and throw an abs light. i stripped and soldered the 2 wires back together but the light is still on. Would soldering these wires be an issues with it not getting proper signal now?

The sensor could be bad. I personally have used those crimp type environmental splices on a car that had broken abs sensor wires & it worked great.

Dumb question, but you did solder the wires 2gether correctly right?

Yep one was black and one was grey!

just had to drive it about 30 km and the light went out. guess it had to reset or something!

Yeah maybe...I think when I did the car that I used to have I actually reset the light with a code reader. I had to fix it after that and I can't remember if the light was still on or not. IIRC the light wouldnt come on until I drove for a little bit. Hope iyou have a good fix until you have to replace the hub.

Ive used speaker wire for abs wires and worked..... didn't have to reset anything.... sounds like the sensor crapped out.
