I was replacing the fuel filter today and noticed the exhaust pipe that runs behind the right hand cylinder head has a broken bracket. The bracket attaches to the right hand cylinder head.

Is this a common problem and has anyone ever welded one while it is still installed?

I know it is stainless steel, and I can weld it, but wonder about the success others have had with this issue...

That would be the downpipe from the turbo. Probly not going to be easy to weld in the truck but have heard of plenty of other LB7 guys that have the bracket broken and leave it alone.

Mine is cracked, and makes a lot of noise at low throttle like in parking lots
