I am in a bad situation. My truck is broke down at my hunting property and I need to get it home. My driveshaft is broken and most of my friends with a truck and trailer are away for the holidays. The other problem is I am blocking the rd. Which is another reason I need to get the truck out of there. So can I drive the truck in 4wd for about 35 miles letting the front axle do the work? or will it damage something?

I've done it before and it didn't hurt anything, drove about 20 miles like that. I would just stop every once in awhile and make sure you aren't throwing a bunch of fluid out of the tail shaft since the rear yoke will not be in it.
