I have the Bully Dog power pup, and it goes to the 90 setting. It has an extreme setting on it that has to be unlocked. I called bully-dog to see how to unlock it and they told me to hook it up to my computer and download the new tune program. I did that and it wouldnt take the tune. They said mine was not upgradeable. Why would they even put the Extreme setting on it if I could never use it ???
Does anyone know what I can do about this ?? (besides throw it in a dumpster and get EFI live...which I am strongly considering)

I don't know much about bully dog tuners, but maybe you have a old version that not is internet upgradeable. That is all i can think of...

Ive tried about 5 tuners. What i did is buy'em cheap on e-bay or somewhere and if you dont like them, put them back on ebay. dont think i ever lost $$$. Sell that DOG and try somthing else. prob get 200 on ebay. prob find a quad for same price.

Thanks... I may just do that......or sell it and just get EFI live like I've wanted to do since........since.......since I first wanted to.

But, seriously, I would like to be able to at least try the Bully dogs full power setting at least once.

The Bully Dog is nothing great. I just sold my Bully Dog Triple Dog and the Performance setting was faster and shifter better than the Extreme setting. When you go to update it are you sure its completely un-installed from your truck? Other than that you should be able to use the Update Agent and download the newest file. I don't understand why your extreme setting would be locked out.

my quad is way better than the bullydog i have theyre junk. the 90 hp setting on my quad is way stronger than the 135 on my bullydog.

i tried updating mine and it wont update so i think the tuners are f'ed up from factory.
