Would a rear bumper from a 2016 Silverado 2500 using the stock brackets from either truck fit my 2012 Sierra 2500? My rear bumper is pretty beat up and I like the corner pocket steps on the Silverado's bumper.

They are both the same frame so Im guessing it would fit, but tha tis just a guess.

My observation is that the cubby step is not as useful as it may seem at fist. It is too high to be useful, at least for me.

I have one of these on the LR corner and find it very useful and convenient"

I use the corner step all the time on mine.

Kinda tough to use the license plate step to get in if the tailgate is open....

Would have been handy on on my 2011.

Other possibility might be to find an Avalanche bumper to fit.
They had the step (at least as an option) years before it came to pickups.

I seem to recall this swap has been posted about before -- but don't recall whether it was successful or not.
Kinda thought we might have got a response from someone that has done/tried it.
