On a LBZ what is the difference in Cal. emission and the standard Federal emission requirements and does it effect mileage?

Hello Grizhead, the new smog laws dont apply to the LBZ engines, they were made before 1-07 even though they were sold in the 07 models which is what i purchased, the new smog laws apply to the engines made after 1/07 which are called the LMM. Hope that helps, by the way i heard the LMM is a little slower than the LBZ, glad i got mine in time!:drink
