Can’t lower my spare tire!

Is the problem that your tool to unwind the spare tire hoist doesn't mate to the device? You might want to crawl under the truck with a flashlight in hand and see what you can see up there. Sometimes I can get mine to mate up easily, other times, I just have to crawl under the truck and manually align it.
