Someone mentioned you might be able to look up a car’s original window sticker. Does anyone know a reliable service that offers this for secondhand or older models?

@ForaFrank how do you get a copy of the original window sticker showing all options for an older GM vehicle?

I got mine for my 2006 but can't figure out where so asking Frank

Getting the original window sticker for a truly older GM vehicle can feel a bit like automotive archaeology. The handy online VIN decoders and sticker generators mentioned often work best for vehicles from the last 15-20 years. Once you go further back, the data gets a lot harder to access digitally.

For vintage models, your most reliable source is the GM Heritage Center. They can provide a copy of the original "Vehicle Invoice" for a fee. While it's not a visual replica of the Monroney sticker itself, it contains all the same critical information: the full list of options and RPO codes, original pricing, and the name of the dealership it was first shipped to. It's essentially the vehicle's birth certificate, pulled directly from GM's historical archives.
