Well I should have done this a couple of years ago, but better late than never. It should be a good way to keep track of the things I do to the truck and maybe help someone out along the way. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on here to this point and have learned a ton of stuff about my truck, well not just my truck, about a lot of things. Enjoy.

Since I am getting a late start I am going to begin with my current project and after that I will go back and catch up.

I am currently working on one of the few things that I have not liked about my truck since I got it, the front lights.
The headlights in my 94 were better than these. Here鈥檚 a couple of pictures from the day I got my new truck home.

I am waiting on a few parts that are supposed to be here tomorrow. I already have the low beams and high beams and waiting on the fog lights and turn signals.

For low beams I went with a kit that uses Morimoto BI-XENON: MINI D2S 5.0 projectors, Morimoto D2H 5500k HID bulbs and Hylux ballasts.

For the high beams and fog lights I went with the Morimoto 2stroke 2.0 led鈥檚 with a 5700k rating.

The turn signals and hyper flash resistors are also Morimoto, amber in color.

Looking forward to getting this done.:grin2:

There is this little car show in town called Hot August Nights, and I thought you guys might like a little truck porn.

The kids and I had a lot of fun yesterday walking around a few of casinos. There are thousands of cars and trucks and some things I am not sure what to call. With all of the cars that are here, this one really stood out, and that is hard to do.

I am finally done with that project. It didn鈥檛 go as smoothly as I would have liked, but when does it. The headlights went together just fine, but no low beams when I went to test things, the high beams worked just not the lows.
Turned out the the polarity was reversed on one of the adapters that came with the hid kit. So I pulled the pins and reversed them, and let there be light.

Then the rest of my stuff showed up and I spent the next few hours trying different ways to wire the resistors for the turn signals. Nothing worked, I had hyper flash with everything I tried, so I put the other headlight back in with the stock bulbs and they worked fine. As I was looking at it trying to figure it out I noticed that the factory clear incandescent bulbs were brighter than the amber led鈥檚. So I took the resistors out and put everything back to stock for the turn signals and tested it.

Guess what? I still have hyper flash even with all factory bulbs. I finally notice on the DIC that it says right rear bulb out, it wasn鈥檛, but the truck thought it was. I couldn鈥檛 get it to reset until I finally started the truck and everything worked just fine.'dunno;

So with that done I moved on to the fog lights. I was hoping that these would be plug and play, but they weren鈥檛. The wiring side worked just fine but the bulb was clocked 90 degrees out. I took the housings out and spent a couple of hours modifying them and got everything set up correctly.

As I was putting everything back together I got the body lines spaced better than GM did. I am going back out to the garage and do the 6 high mod and when it gets dark I will get some 鈥渁fter鈥 pics and post them up.

That looks great!

I wonder if just some hyper white LED turn signal bulbs would be brighter than amber since the lens is already amber?

Are you sending those back and just sticking to the stock bulbs?
I think the whites would be the way to go. I was thinking about exchanging them, but I am not sure about the resistors. I might just leave it stock for now.

I returned them and ordered them in white.
