I bent the front of my frame on my 2001 3500 duramax. Its in the front of the truck and im looking to cut off the front of the frame and weld in and box the front of a scrap frame. I already found a donor frame but its from a 2001 2500HD with the 6.0L gas engine. I know that the frame rails are the same for the 2500 and the 3500 but i'm not sure if it matters that its a gas truck. i know id have to do the motor-mounts and possibly the crossmember but are there any differences in the front frame rails in a gas truck opposed to a diesel?
