So it just started today. When I slow down and am turning I hear a clunk coming from underneath me. Seems like tranny. could it not be shifting out of gear or something? Or could it be rear diff?
Sounds to me like the intermediate steering shaft is worn. GM released about 5 different revisions for it and the most recent one a couple years ago. They lose their lubrication and knock on turns.
it sounds like its coming from right underneath me. i dont feel it i just hear it...but i havent heard it in like 2 days which is weird it did it for two days and then stopped..
I would check U joints Kyle. Crawl underneath and grab your driveshaft and try to spin it back and forth and if its feels sloppy or loose you need new U joints.
I was getting the same clunk but i narrowed it down to suspension front left never figuered it out. But it seem to only happen when i was running 17 in rims im running a diffrent set up now and no clunk. Let me know if this helps
