so this weekend we tore the truck down and converted it from an allison to a zf-6. the conversion went suprisingly well except for the fact that my clutch wont release all the way. when i push my pedal down it goes down about a quarter of the way before any pressure starts then you push it to the floor then it starts to feel like the clutch pedal should. sometimes i can get it in 3 4 and 5 and it will sit there but not all the time.... Anybody have any suggestions?

Sounds like you have air in the system-- try to bleed it again.

I just went through this with my beater Ford Ranger--bled a quart of fluid through it. Made a pressure bleeder from an old cap-- no air came out. Finally the only way to get the air out -- I pulled the master cylinder piston out a little, while still connected to the reservoir. Some fluid came out and I slid the piston back in, then refilled the reservoir. Not easy, but that did fix it.

The cylinder sets an an angle and had a pocket of air trapped in cylinder piston.

yea we've tried bleeding it on a couple different tries and still no luck... is there a stronger/better slave and master cylinder that from the factory?
