I have a check engine code po671. Do i have a bad gkowplug in cylinder #1. Thanks for your help.

How are you getting the code? Like how are you reading it i mean? There was a problem back in the day with this code popping up as a random with certain canned tuners, but not displaying on a V2/ diagnostic machine. You are correct on the #1 glow plug.

Anywho, to test a glow plug, take the rail off of them and get a test light, hook it to the pos side of the battery and touch the tip of each glowplug. if it lights up the glowplug is bad

They are easy to change if it is bad......................

Yes, you have a bad glow plug-- Number 1-- first on the passenger side.

Took the truck to autozone to the codes pulled. The truck never had a tuner on it.

I had the truck at the dealers today. It had a code for the egr also but there was a update for the egr they reprogramed it. I got a glow plug to have as a spare. Thanks for the help.

code came back for glow plug agian. Tested #1 glow plug as described it tested okay. Put a new glow plug in and the code is gone.
