I have to replace my Idler arm and was wondering if it would be worth putting the baces on while I had it a part.

And if there is any negitive effect on the steering feel with the braces or if it gets better.

Thanks

Steering seemed to tighten up for me when i put mine on. I would buy a set and put them on anyways just to extend the life of the idler and pitman arm.

it tightens the steering a bit and makes them last longer but the big difference is when you put the HD tie rods on.

Do you have to buy OEM idler/pitman or will moog and other brands work also.

Another question, do the braces actually make the arms last longer.

Yeah they will work with aftermarket brands they come with two different mounting threads one for stock and one for aftermarket.

Moog isn't any better then stock if fact they might be worse. But whatever you go with make sure you get the Cognito kit to go with them.
