Not sure why but the top radiator hose is almost flat. I was thinking a bad hose but not sure if anything else could be wrong. Does anybody have any ideas?

1st. Make sure your surge tank is at the proper fluid level...full. For coolant system longevity, it's important to keep the system full. Low level can affect the pressure release with cool down.

2nd, if you do stay on top of keeping it full, clean or replace the surge tank cap. $10-$12.

When I first bought my truck (05 lly) I had the same issue. I was told that taking off the cap of the degas bottle cap (coolant cap) and washing/soaking it in soapy water for a few minutes fixes it. I did this and haven't had the problem since. Its worth the shot, its a free fix if it works.

Put a new surge tank cap on. People call it the recovery tank but it's a surge tank.
