subscribed. a clean cooling system for $50, how can you go wrong. how did you hook them up to the heater hoses. did you just splice into one of them and run it to the filter and then back to the other end of that same hose?

the correct way to do this is to splice one heater hose. Pick a hose and run it to the filter. Then out the other end of the filter run it to where the hose you used would go. For example if you pick one of the heater hoses, instead of that heater hose running to the heater, it will run to the filter and then to the heater. That way you have full flow and all fluid getting filtered.

if you put the filter in line to the heater core the only thing that you will stop flow from is the heater core. The engine will still have full separate flow. And when you dont have heat in the cab anymore you know its time to change your filter. I also see that design helping the heater core out. Being in the business I am in the biggest problem with higher mileage vehicles is plugged heater cores.
