Need help. New to this forum, so I hope I'm posting in the right place. First off, I have a 02 chevy 2500hd duramax. Coolant leak appears to be coming from back of block on drivers side. From what I've read so far, I've got to take the tranny out and replace seals on the block itself. Is this true? Is so, does anyone know the degree of difficulty? Special tools? Idea of cost? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you've got the right seals and area of replacement. But my knowledge is limited and am basing my advise on another thread that I remember having a similar problem. Sooooo I will just give you a free bump:)
