Driving on the interstate last week in heavy rain my 2024 Silverado 1500, threw a code for the EGR valve (verified by on-star and the dealer). I'm still not sure if it was a bad EGR or just an issue caused by the heavy rain on a sensor. Took it in for replacement of the EGR under warranty today and on the way home I caught a smell of anti-freeze. By the time I got home the dealer was closed so I wasn’t able to call and talk to service, but there was a noticeable smell of anti-freeze in the wheel well area, and on the driver side engine compartment with the hood open. I’m not sure where the EGR valve is, but would replacing the EGR have any effect on the coolant lines? Is there coolant lines to the EGR valve?
