Hey guys, so I went and washed my truck today. As I'm sitting in the Laserwash on my phone, I suddenly begin to get covered in water through the drivers side cab seal. So now I'm sitting here typing this in my rig sopping wet in my $300 jeans covered in car wash water and soap. How the hell do I fix this? Should I buy the 07-14 seal (does it cover my sagging headliner too?). I am not happy, and I am very wet. What do I do?

Roll yer winder up. humpin:

Clean and lube the seal? Clean, as in pull back the gasket from the body and clean out all of the buildup there.

Look out!
Ya don't know what you might find livin' in there.

God forbid I look nice at work haha That seal is clean, but I don't know why the water is still dripping through, it was a substantial amount. the seal is sealed to the truck but the outside of the seal is not sealing to the door. I have checked hinge pins and they are fine.

Have you had a locksmith open your truck recently? Wedges jammed in between the door and cab bend the doors outward. Open the door, roll your window down, and pull down and in on the top of the door to bend it back into the correct shape.

Damn, $300 jeans......I didn't know Carhartt or Wrangler made $300 jeans.

I've tried that trick a few times and along with pulling the seal off and cleaning it I still have the leak. I looked up seals but the dealer wants like $100 per side and I can't find the same part number on rock auto. Can someone let me know what part numbers they have for the seal that goes around the entirety of each side of the cab?

You can find where the problem is with a $1-- place the bill in the open door-- close the door, and check for drag pulling the bill out. Check several places. You may be able to "Shim" the seal out.

Replacing the seal won't fix the problem if the door does not fit properly.

Use a hose and have a buddy help and see if you can pinpoint where the leak is coming from by spraying around the door.

First thing to do if you haven't done so by now is dry yourself off :D

You sure the window was up?
The most I've ever paid for jeans was $65.00 bucks for fleece lined Carharts, it's been down to -5掳F here.
Other then that Walmart cheap jeans. Are the girls or guys more impressed with your $300.00 jeans?

Lol the girlfriend likes them so I'll deal with it haha

The window was all the way up.

There seemed to be a gap where air and water are getting where the angled part of the window meets the top of the door, like the corner of that makes sense?

I've tried to bend the door but it isn't giving enough to close the gap. What else do you recommend to close the gap? New seal?
