I've got the CP3 that I had to replace earlier in the year. It was not good enough for a core so I had BD Diesel send it back.
I am trying salvage all the useable parts and was wanting to see what the inside looks like. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to disassemble from here?
Thanks

I didn't expect that the shaft could just be wiggled out. I did figure on having to compress the pistons though.

Do those clamps have a special name?

No it's not.

I had a perfect storm going on. My fuse block actually is what had killed my truck but I thought it was the CP3 with all the diesel coming off the bell housing.

I pulled the CP3 and found the two bottom bolts (when installed) laying in the valley. I put them back in and tightened the others, which were really loose) and couldn't even turn it by hand.
