Don't ever buy a modern diesel.
I had a 2016 Colorado with the 2.8. The engine was great but I had so many problems with the def system.
I had to replace the injector, and the control module for the def tank, and a wiring harness. I traded it and went back to gas. I got close to what I paid for the diesel. I didn't like the constent regens every 3-400km
