I guess this is where to post this... If its not I apologize in advance. So I'm having this problem with the DIC intermittently displaying the messages, "Service Traction Control" and "Service Stabilitrac".
Had this happen before, the tech at the dealer said a wire under the dash was shorting across to a ground somewhere. Only before, the thing was going way nuts. By nuts, I mean gauge cluster going crazy and floppin the gauges back and forth, a lot of clicking and ticking, the tranny would hunt for gears constantly if I was on the highway, the cruise control wouldnt work, and the "Service 4 Wheel Drive" and "Service Trailer Brake Harness" messages would also come up.
After the dealer had it for two and a half weeks, they finally found a bare wire under the dash that was supposedly causing all this crap. The guy said it was a wire that had something to do with the LAN that all the computers talked to each other on. I called the other day when it started doing it again to see if the tech would tell me where the wire was and what to look for, but of course the service manager wouldnt let me talk to him and just told me to bring it in and they would look at it.
Well I dont exactly live close to the dealer I bought the truck from, and I pretty much have to have this thing to get any work done... So I was wondering if any of you might know where this LAN is routed? No, I'm not some gung ho fix it man lookin to save time and gonna mess a lot of stuff up in the process... I just want to see if I can find where the guy "fixed" the problem last time, maybe it's the same thing. If not, I guess its off to the dealer I go, which sucks because now I have a DPF delete done. If any of you know where I might find this LAN wiring, please help... And if any of you are having or have had this type of problem, please let me know of a possible fix. I really dont want to drive my happy ass all the way to the dealer to have them treat me like an idiot and tell me a bunch of crap.
