So it is long past time to change fluids in front axle and rear axle.
Does anybody know if those fancy cast aluminum diff. covers are as strong as the stamped steel???

I do a lot of driving in the logging roads hunting and stuff and every once in a while a large rock just happens to graze the pumpkins The steel just bends .

My experience with cast aluminum is that it will lose a chunk .

lol i wish i would have taken a pic of the mag hytec vs the stock one.....

If i were to guess....it is 3-4x as thick and holds more fluid....

Plus it looks awesome and it has a magnet on the dipstick.....oh yeah...it actually has a dipstick

Ya they look pretty sweet , just curious if anyone has ever seen one after taking a jab with one of those sharp rocks that you always think you can just clear.

Hey Crusher , If you don't mind me asking, how do you like the aeroturbine muffler, and does it drone in the cab at highway speed or while towing??

I just bought a Oasis cover for m truck. Im not sure with your question. The cast is thicker but could crack opposed to bend like metal would.

Ill have to get a pic of mine.

Clear gearz makes a see thru one that looks pretty sharp and its made outta the stuff they make bullet proof glass with so I'm sure a rock won't go through it if a bullet won't
