Shopping rear rotors for my LBZ. RockAuto and the ACDelco catalogue give me two options 18A926 and 19A928. Which one is correct? Per the specs the 928 has a 4.63" center hole, 330mm diameter, and 86.86mm overall height. The 926 has a 4.84" center hole, 330.4mm diameter and a 90mm overall height. Which one should I be purchasing?

Fair enough, it might be a bit until he replies. I'm pretty sure he's on the road trucking along.

There is an old post on this, look for "different rotors" it listed the 4.84 for the 9900 axle. On rockauto if you scroll down to OEM it lists the correct one.

I’m pretty sure the Duramax-equipped trucks were the largest one of the choices period, besides the medium duty trucks. The 11.5 behind the Duramax was the largest rear offered in the 3/4-1ton trucks

If you have a Duramax it will be the 4.63 ones. Why they can’t make their search engines sort the smaller ones out when putting in the engine option is beyond me.

I was looking on XDP extreme diesel website and the difference is between a SRW and DRW, so it is possible that the DRW has a larger hub to accommodate the load. I believe Nate is right, Piper will get ya the correct specs.

AC Delco Silver and Gold are rebranded raybestos, yes.

GM Genuine is not the same as AC Delco variants or the corresponding raybestos, at least from having compared them side by side over the years. But there was no way to verify with the lack of any markings other than a part number on the box.

I'm in the market for fronts now, raybestos hybrid pads suck (no wonder they were on closeout), and the ac deco gold rotors look terrible after a year and 17k miles or so. Going with akeobono asp pads front and rear, trying to decide which rotors to try next. The rear brembo brand rotors however are holding up nicely.

Their gold line is crap whether branded ac delco or raybestos.

I'd rate power stop pads better than raybestos, just my experience. Their geomet coated rotors were also nicer than the delcos. But as far as pads go, I only buy Akebonos anymore.

Beings my rears are ok, i might bite the bullet and order the gm genuine front rotors at $ 140 a piece and install them with the akebono pads. I'm tired of being the test dummy for cheap parts.

My buddy has them on his truck, front and rear if i recall correctly and raves about them. IDK, if spending that much i'd just pony up for the wilwoods. I did an 8x180 conversion on my 3/4 ton burb, and the larger front brakes helped that thing immensely. That was $5k in parts itself using all new gm genuine parts. So wilwoods aren't terribly priced imo.

Ordered front Brembo rotors to match the rears, will throw it all together with new akebono pads and report back in a week or two.

They definitely used to offer them, as I’ve physically seen them with my own eyes. Not sure when they disappeared off their site.

You can convert to 8x180 using spindles/hubs/half shafts off a 2019 suburban 3500. But it gets expensive. Then you have to address the tone wheel tooth count via tuning, but I don’t see the options to adjust front and rears individually on the lbz / lmm like I was able to on the e38 ecm with the 6.0.

It might be doable with the trucks that only have front abs, but my lmm with the 4 wheel abs would prove challenging. I may attempt it one day just to see if I can pull it off. But the cost isn’t far off just buying the wilwood kits front and rear 🤷‍♂️
