Power Added !!!

Alright LML owners we have some new power options for you. The new Hypertech Max Energy tuners are in stock. We have installed the tuner in our 2011 LML. The results are impressive. We are running the level 3 tune wich is a 40hp + 63ftlbs gain. Right away we noticed the truck spools quick off the line and pulls hard to the top. Our test truck has 35" Toyo Muds and with the traction control switched off it will get sideways unless you are going dead straight. Even from a dead straight stomp on the skinny pedal the Toyo's are clinging for life on dry pavement.

While Hypertech tuners are not going to be the most powerfull option to hit the market we feel they are a great value. At $379 you can give your LML the extra HP GM left out. You also get the added benefit of diagnostics and tire size adjustments. We will be doing some fuel economy testing over the next couple of weeks and report back.

will this void warranty???????? lol

Hell yeah!! sweet looking ride!! Glad there are more options coming out, i see prices coming down in the future!

Good question, and yes. Any tuner is traceable on the newer trucks. These tuners have always been conservative. I have not experienced any mechanical failure with the power they produce. Some of our customers have over 200k using the Max Energy on stock drivetrains.

Interested to see the mpg gains. Curious how everyone is noticing huge gains in fuel economy (hypertechs website) but the hypertech hp and TQ gains don't start on the charts untill 2250 RPMs. I rarely get over 2000 RPMs on the highway. I want to be a believer. No pressure but if you get gains in fuel economy of 2 mpg on highway then I'm in.

#82 ·
We will let you know how the MPG's are looking after some miles have been logged. Right now its raining on the West coast and we are focusing on Drifting this Denaili any chance we get.:)

#89 ·
how is the hypertech so much cheaper than the h&s is it because the h&s has the ability to delete the dpf and such?

#93 ·
The Hypertech tuners are very conservative. They will not require or support removing the DPF. I highly doubt you you could do anything to damage your warranty running one. Now when PPE releases their tuners it might be a different story. PPE will give the user options of adding enough power to push the limits of their trucks mechanical ability. Most failures happen when to much power is available and used. Its up to you and your budget to decide how much risk your willing to take on. Again these tuners ad minimal power so they remain drivetrain friendly.

#95 ·
Yep, i almost got screwed with my dodge. The service guy told me he could tell and that it only showed a couple hours run time in the ecm. Truck had 60k on it but luckily i knew the manager

#97 ·
I just finished building mine . except its never really finished. Have fun spending $20000 extra . It will look sick though

#98 ·
Hey , who is doing your gears ? Is it going to work with the ECU ? I want to put 456's in mine but have been waiting for them to figure out the computer stuff. Please let me know.

#99 ·
We will be doing the gears in the near future. Correcting the ratio after adding bigger tires should not cause any computer problems. If you go lower than the stock gearing you will need to ad a programmer to adjust.

#110 ·
It is up to the dealer on what to do. If a truck comes in with major driveability issues they will look to see if a tuner was used. It is very difficult to hurt the drivetrain of a Duramax, we are all aware of that. These tuners are drivetrain friendly because they do not ad excessive power. If you are worried about voiding your warranty then you should leave your truck completely stock:rolleyes:

#112 ·
I heard that they have special ring gear and you just can't swap it out. If I'm wrong that would be great

#114 ·
Now that that is over let's get back to DMAXSTORE'S sweet LML Denali. I really like that truck. It kicks my LML's a$$

MPG trip report

Took a road trip today. Jason and I drove the new Denali from Sacramento CA up HWY 50 through lake Tahoe and down into Reno NV. We then followed the route back to Sac. This trip starts around 800 feet in elevation and climbs over the summit about 7200 feet. We are running level 3 on the tuner and driving it like we were running late (not easy).

By the end of the trip the LML knocked down a pretty impessive 16.5 mpg with the 35" Toyo's on a mountain highway. The truck only has 2500 miles on it now so I know it will improve as the motor breaks in. We will be installing 4:10 gears in a couple of weeks. This should help pick up some additional fuel econ and throttle response.

#124 ·
Ok. So I live near you and want you guys to do my gear swap. 4.11 or 456. I have the same truck. Let me know. Also I have a spedo healer of some sorts. I will find out what exactly it is. I am told I can program it to adjust for the gears.

#120 ·
So does it hit. ?? Are those 37" tires? Sorry if you put that in the thread but my phone sucks.

#126 ·
Ok so let me know how the gears work out and I will keep in touch. Give me a call when you guys finish up the swap.

#128 ·
I have fender flares and amp steps. I trimmed the bottom of the flares so the amp steps will fit. You cant see where I trimmed the flares.

#129 ·
I really need to see a pic of your truck. I ran into the same problem and returned the flairs. Im thinking of rino lining from the trim down.
