DRO not working

my digital read out isnt working on the miles read out it says error and the trip a and b wont read and the distance to go and fuel left till empty both says 999.9 any idea whats going on i tried unpluging batteries and pluging back in it turned on for 16.3 miles and turned off at least thats what trip A and B show any ideas will help.
